Terms of Service

Effective Date: January 11, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and participation in Middos Challenges’ programs, websites, communications, and materials. By accessing or using any Middos Challenges service, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree, please do not participate or use our services.

1. Organization Information

Middos Challenges is a nonprofit organization recognized as tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

2. Scope of These Terms

These Terms apply to all Middos Challenges services, including but not limited to:

  • Websites and subdomains, including:
    middos.org, bitachon.middos.org, sheet.middos.org, form.middos.org, chanukah.middos.org, gratitude.middos.org, chessed.middos.org, forgive.middos.org, teshuva.middos.org, achdus.middos.org, sdk.middos.org, sponsor.middos.org

  • Email communications (e.g., via Mailchimp)

  • SMS/text messages (via Twilio and non-Twilio numbers)

  • WhatsApp groups, broadcast lists, and status updates

  • Downloadable materials (free or paid)

  • Forms, raffles, challenges, and educational programs

3. Eligibility & Minors

Middos Challenges programs are generally intended for adults and teens, but minors may participate.

  • Users under 18 should have permission from a parent or guardian

  • Users under 13 may only participate with parental or educator consent

  • Educators may use Middos Challenges materials with students under their supervision

Middos Challenges does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 beyond what is permitted under applicable law. Parents or guardians may request removal of a child’s information at any time.

4. Educational Purpose & Disclaimers

All content provided by Middos Challenges is offered for educational and inspirational purposes only.

  • Content is not professional advice, including psychological, medical, legal, or therapeutic advice

  • Participation is voluntary and at your own discretion

  • You are responsible for how you apply the content in your life or classroom

Content reflects Jewish ethical and educational concepts and is not intended as halachic rulings or psak. Participants should consult their own rabbinic authority for personal guidance.

5. Community Conduct

When participating in Middos Challenges programs or communities, including WhatsApp groups, you agree to:

  • Communicate respectfully

  • Avoid offensive, harmful, or inappropriate language

  • Refrain from spam, solicitation, or unauthorized promotion

  • Respect the privacy of others

Middos Challenges reserves the right to remove participants or restrict access at its sole discretion, without notice, for behavior that violates these standards.

6. Communications & Consent

By signing up, you consent to receive communications related to Middos Challenges via:

  • Email

  • SMS/text messages

  • WhatsApp

Message frequency may vary. Standard messaging and data rates may apply.

Opt-out options:

  • Email: Use the unsubscribe link

  • SMS: Reply STOP

  • WhatsApp: Follow removal instructions or message us

7. Raffles, Giveaways & Incentives

Middos Challenges may offer raffles or giveaways as participation incentives.

  • No purchase or donation is required to enter

  • Donations do not increase chances of winning

  • Prizes do not exceed $600 in value

  • Raffles may be open to participants outside the United States

  • Odds depend on the number of eligible entries

  • Prizes are non-transferable and may not be redeemed for cash

Additional rules may apply to specific raffles and will be provided when applicable.

8. Donations & Payments

Donations

  • Donations are voluntary unless explicitly stated otherwise

  • Tax-deductible receipts are issued when applicable

  • Donations do not affect eligibility for raffles

Paid Materials

  • Some materials may require payment to access

  • Payments for goods or paid downloads are not tax-deductible donations

  • Refund policies, if any, will be stated at the point of purchase

Payments may be processed through third-party providers including Stripe, Zeffy, Double, PayPal, Zelle, and Easy Digital Downloads. Middos Challenges is not responsible for third-party platform policies or fees.

9. Intellectual Property

All content provided by Middos Challenges — including text, images, PDFs, challenges, discussion sheets, branding, and program materials — is owned by Middos Challenges unless otherwise stated.

You may:

  • Download and print materials for personal, educational, or classroom use

You may not:

  • Sell, sublicense, or commercially distribute materials

  • Modify or republish content as your own

  • Share paid or restricted materials publicly without permission

10. Privacy

Your use of Middos Challenges is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, store, and protect personal information, including information for international users and EU/UK residents regarding applicable data protection rights.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • Participation is at your own risk

  • Middos Challenges is not liable for any direct or indirect damages arising from use of our services

  • We make no guarantees regarding outcomes, personal growth, or results

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Middos Challenges, its officers, directors, employees, and volunteers from any claims arising out of your participation, use of content, or violation of these Terms.

13. Modifications

Middos Challenges may update these Terms at any time. Updates will be posted with a revised effective date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
